Need to move away from Codiad. While a useful tool, it is still quite restrictive. I would rather be coding in sublime where there are much more plugins that can be utilised.

The new dev environment would simply be a platform where files can be stored instead of a place to actually code. There should be a reduction in server load while doing some production. I could potentially use a package for sublime that would allow me to ftp the file to the server once it is saved, this would only become a problem once there are images that need to be uploaded. This dev environment should NOT use the same database as production.

I also want to take the app hub that is still in development and find a way to add a tiny cms to it so that I can simply add in additional modules to the hub to represent a different app. All these modules would require is a title, tiny description as well as an image. The app hub can then be used as an actual app hub as well in an environment where I can quickly move between different indev apps.

Use a separate droplet for this! It will make things much easier during development (different databases for each for instance). The dev droplet can be linked into the domain as a simple subdomain

Both droplets can be restarted to use the same technology (latest version of ubuntu, both on a $10/mo contract? Or will it work perfectly fine on a $5/mo contract?
